Most Americans know that Cuba has kept thousands of vintage (1950s and 1940s) cars alive and running, often by replacing original engines with diesels, and other parts with parts cannibalized from Russian cars when the Soviets were a major supporter of Cuba. But Cubans use a variety of other means to get around, including more primitive vehicles, like carts pulled by horses and oxen.
